A journey from Patagonia to California
I was born in Chile, a country shaped by mountains, ocean, wind, and vast landscapes. From an early age, I was drawn to nature — to its textures, its changing colors, and the quiet strength it carries.
Natural fibers always felt different to me. Softer. Warmer. More alive. I became deeply connected to materials like alpaca and linen — fibers that breathe with the body and age beautifully over time.
Years later, living in California, I felt a desire to reconnect with that part of myself. Aitue Patagonia was born from that longing — a bridge between the land that shaped me and the craftsmanship that continues in Chile today.
I chose the name Aitue from Mapudungun, the language of the Mapuche people of Chile. The word reflects a deep love and respect for one’s land — a connection to origin, identity, and place. That meaning felt true to what this brand represents.
Each piece begins with natural fibers and hand-dyed yarns inspired by earth, plants, and landscape. They are knitted slowly and intentionally, honoring tradition while embracing simplicity and durability.
Aitue Patagonia is not fast fashion. It is a return to materials that respect the skin, the maker, and the land.
